Adventures in the Valley

A change in career plans led me to the public defender's office. So here are my thoughts on bicycling, brewing, baking and the occasional work crap.

Not Dead Yet

Life has been crazy busy of late. We're in the process of looking for new digs. Ideally we'll keep pirate chicken and some of her siblings, but it aint looking good that we will. We've got a few people who will take most of the birds, so that's good.

Let's see, work. That's been freaky crazy. I've got a few troublesome cases that I'm working right now that are keeping me up at nights. The clients that are the most heartwrenching are those who have the most to lose. They seem to get the worst plea offers from the State. I've got one guy who did something terrible, but not what the State has alleged. He has little to lose, so we're going to trial. Likely we will have trial.

Yesterday was the Hippie Chick's B-day so we celebrated by having a nice dinner out and then eating fudge cake baked by yours truly. She changed up her gift wish on Thursday, so I wasn't able to present a proper present until today. I think she's happy with the gift.

That's about all. I'm off to play more ToME. That's been occupying my free time lately. I keep dying dammit!!
